Cette monnaie a été frappée à l’atelier de Denver (différent palmier et lettre D) et n’a circulé que dans les Indes Néerlandaises. On rappellera qu’alors les Pays-Bas étaient occupés par l’Allemagne jusqu’à leur libération totale en mai 1945.

INDIE OLANDESI
Nel 1602 fu fondata la Vereenigde Ooste Indishe Compagnie (Compagnia Unita delle Indie Orientali) abbreviata in VOC, che ottenne il monopolio del commercio nell'Oceano Indiano. Stabilisce segnalini, recluta truppe e mantiene una flotta. Mal gestito, il VOC è logorato anche dalla concorrenza e dalle guerre con gli inglesi. Perde Ceylon e si rafforza nell'area dell'attuale Indonesia. La VOC fallì nel 1798 ei suoi beni furono rilevati dalla Repubblica Batava e poi dal Regno dei Paesi Bassi. Occupati tra il 1943 e il 1945 dalle truppe giapponesi, gli olandesi non riuscirono a ripristinare la loro sovranità sull'arcipelago e dovettero concedere l'indipendenza nel 1949.
