La loge Saint Louis de la Martinique des frères réunis est une loge créée en 1761 et est un des trois ateliers "américains" de Paris, qui recrutaient parmi les planteurs esclavagistes et autres colons des Antilles et de la Louisiane qui partageaient leurs vies entre les deux côtés de l'Atlantique. Elle continue son activité durant la Révolution en passant un concordat avec les Amis de la Liberté. Son activité cesse vers 1814 pour reprendre de 1817 à 1853. La datation retenue de 1811 est celle donnée par Bramsen.

Cronistoria
MARTINICA
Popolata inizialmente dagli Arawak e poi dai Caraibi, la Martinica fu scoperta nel 1502 da Cristoforo Colombo durante il suo quarto viaggio. Nel 1635 vi fu stabilita una prima colonia a nome del re di Francia e della Compagnie des Îles d'Amérique. L'estensione delle piantagioni ha portato all'eradicazione delle popolazioni indigene Arawak. Verso la metà del XVII secolo, la crisi del tabacco rovinò i piccoli coltivatori bianchi e installò definitivamente un'economia basata sulla monocoltura della canna da zucchero nelle mani di ricchi coltivatori. Chi è alla ricerca di manodopera a basso costo si rivolge alla schiavitù. Tra il 1794 e il 1802, poi tra il 1809 e il 1814, l'isola fu occupata dagli inglesi. Nel 1848 la schiavitù fu abolita. I piantatori ricorrono quindi all'indenture. In concorrenza con la produzione di barbabietole, questa monoindustria era in crisi alla fine del XIX secolo. Nel 1902, l'eruzione del Monte Pelée distrusse completamente la città di Saint-Pierre, uccidendo 30.000 persone. Nel 1946 l'isola divenne un dipartimento d'oltremare.
