Commento
Michel Moreau était lieutenant civil au Châtelet de Paris (1627) et conseiller du roi en ses Conseils d’État et privé. Il mourut en exercice dans le courant d’octobre 1637. Une déclaration du roi, du 9 novembre de cette année, ordonna qu’à l’avenir, dans l’intérêt du service, les charges de lieutenant civil et de Prévôt des Marchands ne pourraient être cumulées sous aucun prétexte.
Michel Moreau was a civil lieutenant at the Châtelet of Paris (1627) and advisor to the king in his Councils of State and Privy. He died in office during October 1637. A declaration by the king, dated 9 November of that year, ordered that in the future, in the interest of the service, the offices of civil lieutenant and Provost of Merchants could not be combined under any pretext.
