La série présente chaque année les animaux du zodiaque chinois.
L’astrologie chinoise est fondée sur un cycle de douze ans, représenté par douze animaux. L’année 2020 est l’année du Rat.
Sur la face de la pièce entourée d’un motif d’inspiration chinoise, un rat « jaillit » du milieu de la pièce. La mention « Année du rat » est inscrite sur le pourtour. L’idéogramme, réalisé par un maître de la calligraphie, est représenté sur le flanc du rat.
Sur le revers on retrouve les douze animaux qui constituent le zodiaque chinois représentés sur un paravent traditionnel côtoyant une porte de temple, celle par laquelle le rat a « traversé » la pièce.

Each year, the series features the animals of the Chinese zodiac. Chinese astrology is based on a twelve-year cycle, represented by twelve animals. 2020 is the Year of the Rat. On the obverse of the coin, surrounded by a Chinese-inspired motif, a rat \\\"springs\\\" from the center of the coin. The words \\\"Year of the Rat\\\" are inscribed around the edge. The ideogram, created by a master calligrapher, is depicted on the rat's flank. The reverse features the twelve animals that make up the Chinese zodiac depicted on a traditional screen next to a temple door, the one through which the rat \\\"crossed\\\" the coin.
