HEINRICH WILHELM VON ZESCHAU fut conseiller privé, le lieutenant-général, secrétaire d'Etat et gouverneur de Dresde, et Franc-maçon. Grand Maître de la Grande Loge Nationale de Saxe (1817-1827) et Membre honoraire de la Loge Aux Trois épées .
La Grande Loge est fondée le 27 Septembre 1811 à Dresde. Précédé par une circulaire du Vénérable Maître de la loge aux trois épées à Dresde, conseiller Karl Friedrich von Brand, en date du 23 Janvier 1805. Dans les dix points de son bulletin d'information, il a appelé les loges dans l'électorat de Saxe sur, à une grande loge nationale ensemble trouver. Jusque-là, ils ont travaillé sous plusieurs Grandes Loges étrangères. Initialement, la fondation a déjà été prévu pour 1805 était en raison des combats en Saxe, mais ne sont pas exécutées. Ce fut seulement le 7 Février 1811 étaient des consultations entre les représentants des sept boîtes au lieu, qui devraient être les fondateurs loges de la Grande Loge
Le 23 Février, 1811 l’assemblée est présidée par le lieutenant-général Heinrich Wilhelm von Zeschau. Il autorisé de travailler avec le rituel de la Grande Loge. Sont présentes les Loges : Au mur d'Or à Bautzen / Pour bien dans le désert Cottbus / A la Pomme d'or à Dresde / Les trois épées à Dresde / Parmi les trois montagnes à Freiberg / Pour gagner serpent dans Görlitz / Pour léopards dans Lübben / Pour l'harmonie dans Hohenstein / Les trois flammes à Plauen / Parmi les trois piliers dans Triebel

Le Premier Grand Maître fut le Baron von Racknitz de février 1813 à aout 1815. En raison de la guerre contre Napoléon les activités maconniques sont suspendues. La Saxe tombée à la Prusse, les loges à Cottbus, Görlitz, Luban , Lubben, Merseburg et Triebel se retirent de la Grande Loge de saxe et se rallient à la Grande Loge de Prusse.

Due to the war against Napoleon, Masonic activities were suspended.. Saxony having fallen to Prussia, the lodges in Cottbus, Görlitz, Luban, Lubben, Merseburg and Triebel withdrew from the Grand Lodge of Saxony and joined the Grand Lodge of Prussia..
