Dans le Corpus Nummorum Visigothorum, quatre types sont distingués sous l'atelier de Tolède pour Svinthila ; la légende du revers ne varie pas, mais le nom du roi varie avec l’inversion des lettres IH et I ou par l'oubli du X de REX qui est aussi remplacé par une croisette. Cet exemplaire correspond au premier type, le plus classique et celui qui est illustré. L’exemplaire du MEC a la particularité d'avoir l'O plein.
