Intéressante petite monnaie sur un flan presque quadrangulaire. Droit usé ou plus vraisemblablement frappé avec un coin lisse, mais revers à l'épigraphie bien nette. Patine sombre

Cette obole est très particulière, avec l'inversion des lettres MA dans la partie inférieure de la roue. De plus, il n'y a pas de rayon entre ces deux lettres AM, comme sur le n° 728 de MONNAIES 31.

Gli Elisi sono un piccolo popolo della regione di Narbonne, di origine iberica il cui oppidum potrebbe essere identificato con Ensérune. Ci è noto per una menzione di Erodoto, "il padre della Storia", il quale indica che mercenari gallici (Élysiques) avrebbero prestato servizio nell'esercito cartaginese nel 480 a.C., al tempo dell'assedio dell'Himera (Sicilia).
