Huángdì, l’empereur jaune, est un souverain civilisateur de la haute Antiquité qui aurait régné de 2697 à 2597 ou de 2698 à 2598 av. J.-C.. Il est considéré comme le père de la civilisation chinoise, particulièrement à partir du xixe siècle où la définition de la nation chinoise fait l’objet de nombreux débats.
Huangdi, the Yellow Emperor, was a civilizing sovereign of ancient times who is said to have reigned from 2697 to 2597 or from 2698 to 2598 BC. He is considered the father of Chinese civilization, particularly from the 19th century onwards, when the definition of the Chinese nation was the subject of much debate.
