Cronistoria

CHÂTEAUDUN - VICOMTÉ DE CHÂTEAUDUN - GEOFFROY V

(1215-1235)

Secondo D. Legros, la viscontea di Châteaudun era rimasta sotto l'influenza dei conti di Chartres e Blois. Quando Thibaut VI morì nel 1218, fu Marguerite, sua zia, che ereditò Blois. Geoffroy V ha approfittato di questo cambiamento per monetizzare Châteaudun a suo nome. Geoffroy VI successe a Geoffroy V (1215-1235), si incrociò nel 1248, accompagnò la Settima Crociata e morì in Terra Santa tra il 1248 e il 1253, lasciando una sola figlia, Clémence. Sposò Robert de Dreux e coniò a Châteaudun (1253-1264).
