Malgré la rareté du type, nous n’avons pas relevé de liaison de coin pertinente. Le coin de droit est très proche des exemplaires 30 et 31 du classement de Zabel et Meadows, n° 30 et 31, pl. 42. En revanche, la césure du revers pour le magistrat ne semble pas signalée.

Si riteneva che Myndos, una colonia dorica, fosse stata fondata dai Troiani. La città si trovava a una ventina di chilometri da Alicarnasso, sulla costa. La monetazione non sarebbe iniziata fino al II secolo aC e passò sotto l'influenza degli egiziani che avevano occupato la regione.
