Poids léger. Traces de cassure de coins perceptibles des deux côtés. Nous n’avons pas relevé d’identité de coins pertinente avec les trois exemplaires de la collection Keckman (SNG Finland I, n° 588 à 590) et l’exemplaire provenant du catalogue Berk 91, 1996, n° 95. Nous avons donc cinq coins de droit et cinq coins de revers pour cinq exemplaires. Le nom d’Aristakos n’est utilisé qu’une seule fois pour la drachme et semble beaucoup plus rare. Il se retrouve aussi sur le didrachme du même type, mais associé à une statue cultuelle (Ahston n° 272). R. Ashton nous indique pour ce monétaire : “Die-linking is particularly close among the drachm issues of Gorgos, Peisikrates, Ainetor, Atistakos and Stasion”. Le même auteur signale encore : “Aristakos is an extremely rare name on Rhodes, and is otherwise known only as a hierope from Kamiros, Aristakos, the son of Hieron who appears on an inscription dating to c. 215 ; he is probably the same man as the moneyer.
Light weight. Traces of die breakage visible on both sides. We did not find any relevant die identities with the three examples in the Keckman collection (SNG Finland I, nos. 588 to 590) and the example from the Berk 91 catalogue, 1996, no. 95. We therefore have five obverse dies and five reverse dies for five examples. The name Aristakos is used only once for the drachma and seems much rarer. It is also found on the didrachm of the same type, but associated with a cult statue (Ashton no. 272). R.
