Diritto

Titolatura diritto : ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Descrittivo diritto : Tête géométrique à gauche, l’œil figuré par un gros annelet pointé central ; bourrelet périphérique avec de petits arcs de cerlces.

Rovescio

Titolatura rovescio : ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Descrittivo rovescio : Restes de taureau chargeant, le corps filiforme, un gros globule au centre.

Commento

Sur ce potin, la tête peut être interprétée à droite, avec la hampe en guise de cou et le large sourcil. Le revers (avec un taureau si géométrique) est d’une orientation indéterminées !
Le potin LT. 9541 était mal compris à l’époque, avec une inversion avers et revers et une mauvaise orientation du taureau ! Les potin de petit modules semblent plus rare dans la production de monnaies coulée outre-Manche.
On this potin, the head can be interpreted to be on the right, with the shaft as a neck and the broad eyebrow. The reverse (with such a geometric bull) is of an indeterminate orientation! The potin LT. 9541 was misunderstood at the time, with an obverse and reverse inversion and a wrong orientation of the bull! The small-module potin seem rarer in the production of coins cast across the Channel
