Cet exemplaire, de forme de rectangle arrondi, s’ouvre et permet de placer un Louis d’or (diamètre : 22,5 mm) et une pièce de 10 francs or (20 mm)

Les emplacements pour les pièces sont guillochés formant un motif discret de rosace.

On note divers poinçons : sur le pourtour des emplacements un 3 et un poinçon ovale contenant trois étoiles. Sur la bélière deux poinçons charançons dans un rectangle (Utilisé pour les ouvrages d’importation après 1893), sur le bouton poussoir un poinçon carré qu’on ne peux pas identifier.
Dimensions: 53.5 x 29.5 mm (excluding the bail). This example, rectangular in shape with rounded corners, opens to hold a Louis d'or (diameter: 22.5 mm) and a 10-franc gold coin (20 mm). The coin slots are guilloché, forming a subtle rosette pattern. Several hallmarks are present: around the edge of the slots, a 3 and an oval hallmark containing three stars. On the bail, two weevil hallmarks within a rectangle (used for imported pieces after 1893). On the push button, a square hallmark that cannot be identified.
