Commento

Si ce type peut-être rapproché des Bituriges, il n’en reste pas moins inédit et semble manquer à toutes les collections publiées. Les globules du revers ne sont pas sans rappeler le potin turon (Monnaies XV, n° 534) publié par P. Schiesser. Notre exemplaire ferait le lien entre les monnayages de potins « à la tête diabolique » des Turons et des Bituriges (généralement au taureau, mais aussi au cheval avec cet exemplaire). Si l’avers est en relation directe avec les Turons, le revers est typiquement biturige.
If this type can be compared to the Bituriges, it nonetheless remains unpublished and seems to be missing from all published collections. The globules on the reverse are reminiscent of the potin turon (Monnaies XV, n° 534) published by P. Schiesser.
