Flan un peu court avec un avers de frappe particulièrement vigoureuse, mais avec un type incomplet. Le revers est centré et complet mais de frappe molle. Agréable patine brune et brillante, un peu plus hétérogène au revers

Commento

Pour cette série au pégase, l’association d’un avers et d’un revers orientés dans un sens différent semble excessivement rare ! Le n° 962.X.21 de Bourges associe un avers à gauche et un revers à droite. Le n° 475 associe un avers très proche du notre à un revers comparable, mais avec la croisette sous le cheval, comme sur le DT. 3490.
Mis à part ce type de tête de loup bien particulier, notre exemplaire a un revers sans équivalent dans tous les ouvrages consultés, avec cette croix entre les jambes avant du pégase.
For this Pegasus series, the association of an obverse and reverse oriented in a different direction seems extremely rare! No. 962.X.21 from Bourges combines an obverse on the left and a reverse on the right.
