Cronistoria

BERRY - SEIGNEURIE DE DÉOLS (CHÂTEAUROUX) - GUILLAUME Ier DE CHAUVIGNY

(1233-1270)

La casa di Déols appare all'inizio del X secolo, fondata da Ebbes I il Nobile (896-937). Ebbes II successe a Raoul VI (1099-1141) quindi installò il figlio più giovane Eudes a capo della signoria di Châteaumeillant (1160-1220). A Déols fu Raoul VII, suo figlio maggiore, ad ereditare (1160-1176). Quando morì, essendo sua figlia Denise minorenne, Déols ebbe molti problemi e si trasferì nella casa di Chauvigny. Tre "Guillaume" si succedettero come signore di Châteauroux: Guillaume I (1207-1233), Guillaume II (1233-1270), Guillaume III (1270-1322). L'omonimia dei nomi non facilita la cronologia della monetazione di Châteauroux.
