Ce denier est frappé sur un flan irrégulier et assez large présentant un éclatement à 11 heures au droit. La croix du droit apparaît légèrement en négatif au revers. Exemplaire recouvert d’une patine grise. Petite tache verte à 8 heures au droit

Cronistoria

BÉARN - SEIGNEURIE DE BÉARN - LES CENTULLES

(XI-XIV secolo)

Fu Centullo III il Giovane, visconte (1012-1058), a ricevere la sovranità del paese dal duca d'Aquitania Sancio il Grande e ad usurpare il diritto di conio. In realtà la fabbricazione delle monete non iniziò prima del 1080 sotto Centulle IV (1058-1088) che prese il nome di conte (per Bigorre e Oloron). Centulle V morì nel 1134. Tuttavia, la monetazione continuò per quasi duecento anni.
