Descrittivo diritto : Tête stylisée et dégénérée à droite, formée de demi-cercles concentriques.

Rovescio

Descrittivo rovescio : Sanglier enseigne à droite, surmonté d’une ligne perlée ; un globule entre les pattes et un annelet sous la tête.

Commento

Potin de qualité exceptionnelle pour ce très rare type monétaire. Le droit et le revers sont parfaitement bien venus et laissent apercevoir tous les détails. Les exemplaires d'Evreux sont dans un trop triste état pour établir des comparaisons pertinentes. Certaines monnaies visiblement appartenant à un même série sont décrit comme des bronzes frappés ou comme des potins ; avec cet exemplaire, il ne semble pas qu'il y ait d'ambiguïté sur la nature coulée de cette monnaie.
Potin of exceptional quality for this very rare coin type. The obverse and reverse are perfectly well formed and reveal all the details. The Evreux examples are in too poor a condition to make relevant comparisons. Some coins that clearly belong to the same series are described as struck bronzes or as potins; with this example, there does not seem to be any ambiguity about the cast nature of this coin.
