Très bel exemplaire complet et recouvert d’une agréable patine verte ! Sûrement l’un des plus beaux exemplaires connus de ce type mais importante fragilité, notamment au revers à 7 heures sur la tranche avec une tâche vert clair

Descrittivo diritto : Tête masculine casquée à droite, le cou orné d’un collier de perles ; légende devant le visage.

Descrittivo rovescio : Sanglier enseigne à gauche ; l’enseigne ornée de trois annelets centrés.

Commento

Lors de la parution du Nouvel Atlas, le bronze DT. 2446B était complètement inédit et la légende incertaine. Celle-ci est depuis confirmée, entre autre par cet exemplaire.
Les auteurs font fort justement remarquer les similitudes de traitement de la tête avec celle des bronzes ECTA EBVRO DT. 2432 et du bronze anépigraphe au sanglier DT. 2447.
La légende n’est pas sans rappeler celle d’ADDEDOMAROS chez les Trinovantes de l’île de Bretagne.
Exemplaire extraordinaire avec une légende au droit complète. Monnaie de qualité exceptionnelle ! Ce bronze, récemment inconnu, manque à la plupart des collection nationales.
When the New Atlas was published, the bronze DT. 2446B was completely unpublished and the legend uncertain. This has since been confirmed, among other things, by this example. The authors rightly point out the similarities in the treatment of the head with that of the ECTA EBVRO bronzes DT. 2432 and the anepigraphic bronze with a boar DT. 2447. The legend is reminiscent of that of ADDEDOMAROS among the Trinovantes of the island of Brittany. An extraordinary example with a complete legend on the obverse. A coin of exceptional quality! This bronze, recently unknown, is missing from most national collections
