Poids léger. Pour ce type, M. Crawford a relevé 29 exemplaires pour deux variétés principales avec de nombreuses variantes dans la présentation des légendes. Le monétaire pourrait être identifié avec Marcus Atilius Serranus qui fut préteur en 152 avant J.-C.

Nel 148 a.C. erano consoli Sp. Postumius Albinus Magnus e L. Calpurnius Piso Caesonius. La terza guerra punica iniziò l'anno precedente. Catone il Vecchio morì prima che il suo sogno di distruggere Cartagine diventasse realtà. Nel 148 il console Calpurnio Pisone continuò l'assedio della metropoli africana, mentre Andrisco, che si diceva figlio di Perseo, fu battuto in Macedonia da Quinto Cecilio Metello che prese il soprannome di Macedone. La Via Postumia collega Aquileia a Verona e Cremona.
