Triens bien identifiable, frappé sur un flan un peu court. Le droit est centré et presque complet, mais le revers est décentré sur la gauche, avec une partie de la légende très en bord de flan. Patine orangée avec des zones un peu sales

Commento

Les monnaies de PATRICIVS à l’appendice perlé échelonné sont toutes très proches les unes des autres, avec la légende APRARICIA (avec quelques variantes de terminaison) au droit et (+) PATRICIVS (MO) au revers.
Cet exemplaire semble être issu du même coin de revers que la monnaie B. 238 (= Prou 289).
L’attribution est incertaine, avec deux ateliers différents qui ont été proposés successivement. Prou a été repris par les ouvrages les plus récents, mais sans vraiment en expliquer la raison....
The PATRICIVS coins with the stepped pearl appendage are all very similar to each other, with the legend APRARICIA (with some variants of termination) on the obverse and (+) PATRICIVS (MO) on the reverse. This example appears to come from the same reverse die as coin B. 238 (= Prou 289). The attribution is uncertain, with two different mints being proposed successively. Prou has been included in the most recent works, but without really explaining the reason...
