Cette monnaie fragmentaire est indéniablement un triens mérovingien, mais l’identification de celui-ci semble impossible à déterminer.
Le flan a peut-être été cassé accidentellement, mais il est aussi possible que le triens ait été utilisé comme matière première pour le métal contenu, à une époque de pénurie.

Molte monete merovingie, coniate male, con epigrafia molto scarsa o poco esplicita, non possono essere attribuite ad una particolare zecca. Le monete troppo rare purtroppo hanno lo stesso problema. Le attribuzioni essendo basate su opere spesso antiche, una moneta all'epoca sconosciuta avrà spesso difficoltà ad essere attribuita, a meno che non sia possibile leggere la zecca o trovare il nome della zecca e confrontarla con la sua produzione nelle officine dove coniava monete ....
