Commento

Ce bronze correspond probablement à un triens, faux d’époque, ayant perdu toute sa dorure.
Le droit rappelle les première mérovingiennes, avec un buste d'empereur, tête diadémée. Le revers correspond bien au type traditionnel du triens avec la croix centrale. La légende du droit METIS, derrière la tête, permet de confirmer l’attribution à Metz.
This bronze probably corresponds to a triens, a fake from the period, having lost all its gilding. The obverse is reminiscent of the first Merovingian bronzes, with a bust of an emperor, with a diademed head. The reverse corresponds well to the traditional type of triens with the central cross. The legend on the obverse METIS, behind the head, confirms the attribution to Metz
