Roger de la Pasture de son vrai nom Roger van der Weyden est un peintre flamand né à Tournai en 1399 et mort à Bruxelles 1464. Il réalise principalement des peintures religieuses dont il traite les détails avec grands soins comme il en incombe aux primitifs flamands. Il travaillera comme peintre officiel de la ville de Bruxelles, son succès atteindra également la bourgogne lui donnant l’occasion de réaliser pour le cardinal de Rolin le polyptyque du jugement dernier peint en 1442 et conservé à l’hotel dieu de Beaune ainsi que de travailler pour les ducs de la région.

Roger de la Pasture, whose real name was Roger van der Weyden, was a Flemish painter born in Tournai in 1399 and died in Brussels in 1464. He mainly produced religious paintings, the details of which he treated with great care, as was the custom of the Flemish primitives. He worked as the official painter of the city of Brussels; his success also reached Burgundy, giving him the opportunity to create the polyptych of the Last Judgment, painted in 1442 and kept at the Hôtel Dieu in Beaune, for Cardinal de Rolin, as well as to work for the dukes of the region.
