Il s’agit de la variété sans signature et en frappe médaille
La fabrication de ces jetons consacrés aux colonies françaises de l'Amérique commença en 1751 et dura jusqu'en 1758. La guerre de Sept Ans débuta en fait au Canada. Les Anglais attaquèrent sans déclaration de guerre les établissements français. La France rompit les relations diplomatiques le 8 juillet 1755. En août 1756, Montcalm remporta une grande victoire sur les Anglais à Oswego mais, en 1758, les Français subirent de nombreux revers stratégiques et les Anglais s'emparèrent des Forts Frontenac et Duquesne le 27 avril, puis Louisbourg le 27 juillet 1758. Montcalm trouve la mort au siège de Québec le 13 septembre 1759 qui est obligée de se rendre. Montréal capitule le 8 novembre 1760 ce qui marque la fin de la domination française au Canada. Par le traité de Paris, le 10 février 1763, la France perd définitivement le Canada.
