Descrittivo diritto : Cheval passant à droite, la crinière terminée en volute ; un bucrane devant le poitrail et un autre au-dessus de la croupe.

Descrittivo rovescio : Sanglier à droite ; un bucrane à l'envers entre les pattes ; une ligne ondulée derrière et au-dessus du sanglier ; un annelet pointé sous sa tête.

Commento

L'exemplaire LT 8496 est celui qui a été repris par S. Scheers pour illustré son Traité, puis recolorisé pour le Nouvel Atlas (l’avers et le revers sont inversés et le cheval a été mal orienté). Ce type semble extrêmement rare et l'exemplaire proposé ici est dans un état de frappe et de conservation exceptionnel !.
Copy LT 8496 is the one that was used by S. Scheers to illustrate his Treatise, then recolored for the New Atlas (the obverse and reverse are reversed and the horse has been misoriented). This type seems extremely rare and the copy offered here is in an exceptional state of strike and preservation!
