Commento

La médaille, une fonte noircie, est conservée dans sa boîte cartonnée d’origine (légèrement abîmée) avec la représentation du paquebot et diverses informations sur l’intérieur et l’extérieur de la boîte. L’ensemble est accompagné d’une coupure de journal donnant des informations sur la médaille.
l s’agit d’une médaille anglaise de propagande anti-allemande réalisée par Karl Goetz. Elle reprend l’histoire du torpillage du paquebot Lusitania par un sous-marin allemand le 5 mai 1915.

The medal, a blackened cast iron, is preserved in its original cardboard box (slightly damaged) with the representation of the liner and various information on the inside and outside of the box. The set is accompanied by a newspaper clipping giving information on the medal. This is an English anti-German propaganda medal made by Karl Goetz. It tells the story of the torpedoing of the liner Lusitania by a German submarine on May 5, 1915.
