Commento

Cette monnaie apparemment sans millésime présente un chronogramme au niveau de la légende du revers avec les lettres MDCC (1700), plus grosses que les autres. Ce type monétaire fut initialement frappé à l’occasion du changement de siècle comme l’indique la légende du droit. Des refrappes ont été réalisées durant le XVIIIe siècle, comme cet exemplaire avec la marque de maître indiquant qu’elle fut frappée entre 1755 et 1764.
This apparently undated coin features a chronogram on the reverse legend with the letters MDCC (1700), larger than the others. This coin type was initially struck at the turn of the century, as indicated by the obverse legend. Re-strikes were carried out during the 18th century, such as this example with the master mark indicating that it was struck between 1755 and 1764.
