Commento

Ambrosius Blarer était un moine bénédictin de l'abbaye d'Alpirsbach, en Forêt-Noire, où il découvrit les écrits de Martin Luther et quitta ensuite le monastère. Il retourna à Constance, sa ville natale, et y introduisit la Réforme en 1525, comme il le fit plus tard dans les villes impériales souabes d'Ulm, d'Esslingen am Neckar et d'Isny, puis, à partir de 1534, dans le duché de Wurtemberg. Ambrosius Blarer was a Benedictine monk at Alpirsbach Abbey in the Black Forest, where he discovered the writings of Martin Luther and subsequently left the monastery. He returned to his native Constance and introduced the Reformation there in 1525, as he later did in the Swabian imperial cities of Ulm, Esslingen am Neckar, and Isny, and then, from 1534, in the Duchy of Württemberg.
