Pièce de 2 Euro commémorative circulante éditée à l’occasion des 10 ans des pièces et billets en euros (2002-2012). En janvier 2002 l’Euro devenait la monnaie fiduciaire de la zone Euro.
Pièces émises conjointement par l’ensemble des pays de la zone Euro, comme les pièces de 2 Euro “Cinquantenaire du Traité de Rome” en 2007 et 2 Euro “10ème anniversaire de l’Euro” en 2009.
Chaque pays de la zone Euro, à l’exception des micros-états, participe à cette opération. Soit un total de 21pièces de 2 Euro “10 ans des pièces et billets en euros” (les 5 ateliers allemands inclus) à collectionner. Seul le nom du pays diffère sur chaque avers.
Le dessin de l’avers est issu d’un concours international remporté par la Monnaie Autrichienne suite à un vote du public via internet. Il symbolise la place acquise par la monnaie Euro en 10 ans de circulation dans l’économie mondiale, les échanges commerciaux mais aussi la vie quotidienne des citoyens européens.

Circulating commemorative 2 Euro coin issued to mark the 10th anniversary of euro coins and banknotes (2002-2012). In January 2002, the Euro became the fiduciary coin of the Eurozone. Every Eurozone country, with the exception of microstates, participates in this operation. A total of 21 2 Euro “10 Years of Euro Coins and Banknotes” coins (including the 5 German mints) to collect. Only the name of the country differs on each obverse. The obverse design is the result of an international competition won by the Austrian Mint following an online public vote. It symbolizes the place acquired by the Euro coin in 10 years of circulation in the global economy, commercial exchanges but also the daily lives of European citizens.
