Le boudjou d'argent correspondait à 24 mazounas ou 48 kharoubs ou 696 aspers. Il fallait 4,5 boudjous pour faire un sultani en or. La pièce de 2 boudjous fut fabriquée à Alger de 1822 à 1828, le millésime 1829 reste à retrouver,probablement fondu avec le trésor du dey, pillé par les français lors de la conquête.
The silver boudjou corresponded to 24 mazounas or 48 kharoubs or 696 aspers. It took 4.5 boudjous to make a gold sultani. The 2 boudjous coin was made in Algiers from 1822 to 1828, the 1829 vintage remains to be found, probably melted down with the dey's treasure, looted by the French during the conquest
