Commento
Buste intéressant, du tout début du règne. Ce jeton a, par exemple, pu appartenir à Malesherbes. Ces jetons étaient distribués aux membres de l'Académie lors de leurs réunions du lundi, jeudi et samedi. On appelait " jetonniers " les académiciens remarqués pour leur assiduité aux réunions.

FRENCH ACADEMY
L'Accademia di Francia fu fondata nel 1635, sotto il regno di Luigi XIII, dal cardinale Richelieu, con lo scopo di abbellire e perfezionare la lingua francese, simbolo del potere del Re e dello Stato. Doveva essere "perfetto, chiaro e preciso, capace di sposare le svolte del pensiero, di soppiantare il latino e di porre fine all'abuso lessicale e stilistico". Il controllo della lingua, e quindi degli scritti, era anche un mezzo per sventare intrighi politici... L'Accademia riceve come suo sigillo il motto "all'immortalità" con una corona di allori, e la cura di redigere il Dizionario della lingua francese.
