ÉPREUVE uniface du recto, sur papier fiduciaire, sans filigrane. Date GG.00-00-0000.GG. Sans la valeur faciale en texte. Avec signatures. Magnifique épreuve du recto du 500 F Victoire type 1932. Dans les années 30, le billet de 500 F est la seule coupure ne bénéficiant pas d'une impression polychrome. Cette vignette polychrome de Sébastien Laurent est également le premier billet de la Banque de France à comporter une impression taille douce représentant une jeune femme symbolisant la France tenant une Victoire aillée et un rameau d'olivier. Ce projet de 500 F Victoire ira jusqu'à son terme mais ne sera pas mis en circulation. Néanmoins, en mai 1933 la Banque de France décide la création d'un billet de 5000 F qui reprendra la France tenant une Victoire et son impression en taille douce (5000 F Victoire type 1934).
Bien que ce projet figure dans les ouvrages de M. Fayette, c'est seulement la 2ème épreuve que nous proposons à la vente..

In the 1930s, the 500 F note was the only denomination not to benefit from polychrome printing. This polychrome vignette by Sébastien Laurent is also the first note from the Banque de France to include an intaglio print depicting a young woman symbolizing France holding a winged Victory and an olive branch. This 500 F Victoire project will go through to completion but will not be put into circulation. However, in May 1933 the Banque de France decided to create a 5000 F note which will include France holding a Victory and its intaglio print (5000 F Victoire type 1934). Although this project appears in Mr. Fayette's works, it is only the 2nd proof that we are offering for sale.
