ÉPREUVE du 500 Francs Clemenceau, recto verso sans filigrane. Sans date, ni numéro, ni signatures. (voir Fayette 2007, p.380).
Le projet pour un 50000 F Clemenceau est initié en 1956 et confié au peintre Jean Lefeuvre. Le projet initial laissera place au 50000 F Molière toujours de Jean Lefeuvre mais la vignette Clemenceau fera l’objet de nombreuses versions ultérieures en 500 Francs. L’épreuve présentée ici correspond à la dernière version de 1982..
PROOF of the 500 Francs Clemenceau, recto verso without watermark. Without date, number, or signatures. (see Fayette 2007, p.380). The project for a 50,000 F Clemenceau was initiated in 1956 and entrusted to the painter Jean Lefeuvre. The initial project would give way to the 50,000 F Molière, still by Jean Lefeuvre, but the Clemenceau vignette would be the subject of numerous subsequent versions in 500 Francs. The proof presented here corresponds to the last version from 1982.
