Deux épreuves unifaces, une recto seul et une verso seul, sur papier fiduciaire grandes marges, sans filigrane. Sans numérotation mais avec signatures. Présentation dans une pochette cartonnée avec deux fenêtres ; "Ministère de l'Économie et des Finances". Chaque épreuve est maintenue par un infime point de colle en coin. RETIRÉ DE LA VENTE. IMPRESSION MODERNE..
Two single-sided proofs, one recto only and one verso only, on wide-margined trust paper, without watermark. Unnumbered but with signatures. Presented in a cardboard sleeve with two windows; \\\"Ministry of Economy and Finance\\\". Each proof is held together by a tiny dot of glue in the corner. WITHDRAWN FROM SALE. MODERN PRINTING.

Originally, the 300F was a 10F note designed to replace the 10F Minerve 1915. The imminence of war urged the Banque de France to print a higher face value. The decision was made to print a 300F on the same paper as the 10F 1915. The 300F was held in reserve and not circulated until 1945
