Commento
According to De Bie, No. XCIIII, the reverse suggests “that the flower of the nascent Virtue of the young duke named, would not fade with time, but rather that it would increase in the course of the years.” . César, Duke of Vendôme, is the legitimized son of Henri IV and Gabrielle d'Estrées. He was born in 1594, became Duke of Vendôme in 1598. He died in 1665
