L’original étant rarissime, un collectionneur du XIXe siècle l’a fait reproduire en étain bronzé.
Françoise d'Alençon, née en 1490 morte le 14 septembre 1550 à La Flèche, est la fille de René, duc d'Alençon et comte de Perche et de la Bienheureuse Marguerite de Lorraine-Vaudémont.
Sœur et héritière de Charles IV d'Alençon, elle fut spoliée de son héritage par sa belle-sœur Marguerite d'Angoulême, sœur de François Ier. Mais son fils Antoine épousera Jeanne d'Albret, née du second mariage de Marguerite avec Henri II d'Albret, roi de Navarre. Elle sera donc la grand-mère d'Henri IV roi de France.

The original being extremely rare, a 19th-century collector had it reproduced in bronzed pewter. Françoise d'Alençon, born in 1490 and died on September 14, 1550 in La Flèche, was the daughter of René, Duke of Alençon and Count of Perche, and Blessed Marguerite of Lorraine-Vaudémont. Sister and heiress of Charles IV of Alençon, she was dispossessed of her inheritance by her sister-in-law Marguerite d'Angoulême, sister of Francis I. But her son Antoine married Jeanne d'Albret, born from Marguerite's second marriage to Henry II d'Albret, King of Navarre. She was therefore the grandmother of Henry IV, King of France. VENDÔMOIS - VENDÔME - ANONYME
Costituito dalla regione di Vendôme e dalla Valle del Loir, Vendômois fu confiscato agli inglesi da Philippe Auguste e annesso al dominio reale nel 1214. Eretto come ducato nel 1515 per la casa di Borbone, fu dato a César de Bourbon, naturale figlio di Enrico IV e Gabrielle d'Estrées. Il ducato fu definitivamente annesso alla Corona nel 1712.
