La monnaie est trouée en son centre. Il existe des variantes en fonction de la place du “-” sous “mes”, en fonction de la position du D de “DE” sous le 30, en fonction de la hauteur et de la largeur du chiffre “1” au revers, ainsi que de la hauteur du “C” au revers. Ce jeton existe avec ou sans le poinçon triangulaire. Variété Aa1+Ab1+Ra3+Rb1+Rc2, non répertoriée dans le “Les Jetons de Transport Français” de Roland Elie..

La ferrovia da Parigi a Saint-Germain, inaugurata il 24 agosto 1837, è all'origine della rete ferroviaria occidentale sin dalla legge del 9 luglio 1835. Una delle locomotive utilizzate è una Seguin, modello 1829, la prima fumogena francese locomotiva a tubo. La Western Railway Company fu liquidata nel 1909 per far parte della rete statale. Il 31 agosto 1937, la fusione forzata delle cinque società concessionarie, Nord, Est, Parigi-Orléans, PLM, Stato, Alsazia Lorena diede vita alla SNCF.
