Ce type de thaler fut frappé de 1602 à 1624 puis de nouveau en 1656. Le bélier sortant d’un temple est aussi présent sur l’écu de la ville de Schaffhouse.

SVIZZERA - CANTON SCIAFFUSA
Nel 1454 la libera città imperiale di Sciaffusa si alleò con i Confederati. Nel 1501 entrò nella Confederazione (12° cantone) e adottò la Riforma nel 1529.
