Commento
This token is particularly enigmatic and the only certain thing is that its author wanted to continue the metallic series of the kings of France. On the other hand, the flan is too thick for the series and is reminiscent of the tests at the Charter without understanding this choice of a thick flan. The type of bust corresponds to the years 1838/1840 but the token does not bear a hallmark. It is particularly rare and does not seem to have been distributed: could the absence of a hallmark be explained by the test quality of this token? Otherwise, could it be a private strike?
