Commento

Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen (1845-1923) est un physicien allemand qui découvrit les rayons X en 1895, ce qui lui vaudra de recevoir la médaille Rumford en 1896 et le premier prix Nobel de physique en 1901.
La médaille est placée dans une boîte cartonnée grise avec son carton explicatif en allemand de la “Internationale Münzkunst gesellschaft”.
