Il s’agit ici du 19e exemplaire sur une émission de 100 exemplaires.
Alexis Carrel (1873-1944) est un chirurgien et biologiste français. Pionnier de la chirurgie vasculaire, il est lauréat du prix Nobel de physiologie ou médecine en 1912. Il s’est fait mondialement connaître par la publication de L'Homme, cet inconnu en 1935. Il plaida pour l'eugénisme et pour une politique nataliste.
This is the 19th example out of an issue of 100. Alexis Carrel (1873-1944) was a French surgeon and biologist. A pioneer of vascular surgery, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1912. He became internationally known for the publication of Man, the Unknown in 1935. He advocated for eugenics and a pro-natalist policy.
