Superbe petite monnaie frappée sur un flan très court et ovale, épais de 3,2 mm, avec une patine hétérogène, marron et vert foncé. Métal bien stable avec un agréable brillant, surtout dans le champ au droit

Commento

Avec ce style de tête très inhabituel et l’absence de légende au-dessus du taureau ou à l’exergue, il est difficile de rapprocher ce petit bronze à quelque chose de connu, ni de déterminer un prototype exacte. Quoi qu’il en soit il s’agit d’une imitation s’inspirant du vaste monnayage de petits bronzes de Marseille avec le taureau chargeant, aux trois quarts du poids habituel !
Si le type peut faire penser à certaines monnaies attribuées aux Samnagenses, aucune épigraphie ne peut confirmer cette supposition.
