La Princesse Grace de Monaco est née Grace Patricia Kelly et elle aurait fêté ses 90 ans cette année, si le tragique accident de septembre 1982 ne l’avait emportée.

La Princesse avait déjà été honorée par une pièce de collection en argent de 10 francs en 1966 à l’occasion du dixième anniversaire de son mariage avec le Prince Rainier III, puis par une pièce de circulation de 10F en 1982, lors de sa disparition et enfin par une pièce de 2€ en 2007, commémorant le 25e anniversaire de celle-ci.

La pièce de 2019 représente la Princesse en buste à l’avers, la rose, son emblème préféré figurant avec la valeur au revers.

The Princess had already been honored with a 10 franc silver collector coin in 1966 on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of her marriage to Prince Rainier III, then with a 10F circulation coin in 1982, upon her death and finally with a €2 coin in 2007, commemorating her 25th anniversary. The 2019 coin represents the Princess in bust on the obverse, the rose, her favorite emblem appearing with the value on the reverse
