Commento

Ce type fut frappé entre 1905 et 1910, puis entre 1918 et 1920 et enfin en 1955. Entre 1955 et 1972, 1,767.645 pièces furent refrappées au millésime 1955. Au revers figure la tête de Michel Hidalgo (1753-1811) qui proclama l'Indépendance le 16 septembre 1810, abolit l'esclavage le 6 décembre et mourut fusillé en 1811.
This type was struck between 1905 and 1910, then between 1918 and 1920 and finally in 1955. Between 1955 and 1972, 1,767,645 coins were re-struck with the 1955 date. The reverse features the head of Michel Hidalgo (1753-1811) who proclaimed Independence on September 16, 1810, abolished slavery on December 6 and was shot in 1811.
