Exemplaire sur un petit flan épais, bien centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait d’Héraklès. Joli revers bien venu à la frappe. Belle patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets mordorés

Semble de même coin de revers que l’exemplaire de l’American Numismatic Society (ANS 87).

Cronistoria

MACEDONIA - REGNO DI MACEDONIA - AMINTAS III

(393-370/369 a.C.)

Aminta III è un pronipote di Alessandro I di Macedonia (495-454 a.C.). Prese il potere nel 389 a.C. rovesciando Pausania (390-389 a.C.) figlio di Aeropos (396-392 a.C.). A sua volta rovesciata dagli Illiri nel 383 aC, fu restaurata dagli Spartani due anni dopo. Fu Alessandro II a succedergli prima di essere assassinato da Tolomeo che divenne reggente per gli altri due figli di Aminta, Perdicca III e Filippo II.
