Ce type de denier est traditionnellement considéré comme appartenant au monnayage épiscopal de Lyon.
Le droit est assez figé, avec quelques variantes autour de LVG, mais les revers sont plus variés avec trois ou quatre lettres dans les cantons de la croix chrismée.
This type of denarius is traditionally considered to belong to the episcopal coinage of Lyon. The obverse is quite fixed, with some variations around LVG, but the reverses are more varied with three or four letters in the cantons of the chrismated cross.
