Exemplaire issu du médaillier Franklin qui met à l’honneur L‘Annonciation de Fra Angelico : Cette Annonciation faite à Marie a été peinte par Fra Angelico entre 1430 et 14321, et réalisée en tempera et or sur panneau de 194 cm × 194 cm (avec la prédelle).

Il s'agit de l'une des trois Annonciations de Fra Angelico sur tableau. Deux autres, mais à fresque, figurent au couvent San Marco de Florence, celle en haut de l'escalier de l'accès et celle de la troisième cellule.

Il existe également des scènes du thème combinées à une Adoration des mages au musée San Marco, et sur un diptyque à la Galleria Nazionale dell'Umbria de Pérouse.

Ce tableau initialement conservé au monastère de Saint-Marc à Florence et désormais au musée du Prado à Madrid.

Théoriquement, le poinçon crabe est censé indiquer un titrage à 800 millièmes.
example from the Franklin medallist, which features The Annunciation by Fra Angelico: This Annunciation to Mary was painted by Fra Angelico between 1430 and 14321, and executed in tempera and gold on panel measuring 194 cm × 194 cm (including the predella). It is one of three Annunciations by Fra Angelico on canvas. Two others, but in fresco, are found in the Convent of San Marco in Florence, the one at the top of the entrance stairs and the one in the third cell. There are also scenes from the theme combined with an Adoration of the Magi in the Museo San Marco, and on a diptych in the Galleria Nazionale dell'Umbria in Perugia.
