HENRI V COMTE DE CHAMBORD
(1820-1883)
Nipote di Carlo X, Henri nacque il 29 settembre 1820. È figlio del duca di Berry assassinato il 13 febbraio 1820 da Louvel. Il 2 agosto 1830 Carlo X abdicò in suo favore, ma Enrico seguì il nonno in esilio in Inghilterra e poi a Praga. Sua madre, Marie-Caroline de Bourbon, tentò di allevare la Francia occidentale nel 1832. Il suo tentativo fallì. Nel 1833 Enrico V aveva 13 anni, era considerato maggiorenne. Dopo la caduta dell'Impero nel 1870, i legittimisti cercarono di imporre la Restaurazione dei Borboni sul trono di Francia. Questo restauro fallisce perché Henri rifiuta categoricamente la bandiera tricolore, preferendo la bandiera bianca del giglio..
