Lancé au début 2010, ‘America the beautiful’ est un programme de frappe de 56 monnaies commémoratives de 1/4 dollar illustrant les parcs nationaux et d’autres sites nationaux des États-Unis d’Amérique.
Le Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore est une aire protégée sur la côte sud du Lac Supérieur. La partie Ouest est bordée de falaises colorées et la partie Est de dunes et de plages. Créé en 1966, le parc est géré par le National Park Service.
Launched in early 2010, 'America the Beautiful' is a program of 56 commemorative quarter dollar coins depicting national parks and other national sites of the United States of America. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is a protected area on the southern shore of Lake Superior. The western portion is lined with colorful cliffs and the eastern portion with dunes and beaches. Established in 1966, the park is managed by the National Park Service.
